Childhood favorites turned into cakes: The Baker's Table

Located at the food central of Quezon city (Teacher's Village, Maginhawa), The Baker's table is a pastry shop that caters to your favorite childhood treats that were made into cakes, crinkles and cookies. Imagine eating your favorite treats and at the same time you are craving for a comfort food in a form of pastries? Hitting two birds in one stone!

We were lucky enought to visit it on a saturday afternoon and was the only people on the shop at the moment. We ordered their Flat tops cake, Haw-Haw cake, Milo mousse, Mikmik and Butterball cake.

Flat Tops Cake
Flat tops cake - their best seller cake according to the server. It was good, and those who are into super sweet cakes and chocolate lover would loved this cake. The cake was also moist and there's a flat tops on top of the cake that I'm sure you would eat first because of the excitement.

Milo Mousse
Milo mousse - definitely my favorite out of all the cakes we ordered. It has the right amount sweetness and the cake itself was moist enough and really enjoyed the dark chocolate mousse. That Milo and condensed milk mixture is a sure winner in my opinion.

Butterball and Haw Haw cake
Butterball and HawHaw Milk - butterball was light and sweet, and you could really taste the butterball in it. I just don't like the base itself (not really a fan of chiffon cake). HawHaw milk was really good, it has a cream-cheese frosting folded with melted milk candy.

MikMik
Mikmik - People who really loved eating Mikmik would definitely be a fan of this cake. The mikmik was places on the and on the middle of the cake, paired with vanilla frosting.

Yum!

One slice of the cake would cost you 110php. Overall, we enjoyed eating at this pastry shop. It really feels good to take a trip down memory lane with these cakes.
