Izakaya kikufuji is located in Little Tokyo Makati, a hidden gem which japanese food lovers would always go loco whenever they were in that area. We had a chance to try it and experience it. We haven't made a reservation so we were kinda expecting that we'll gonna wait. The place is a bit crowded make sure to reserve early if you want to have a good place. We ordered spicy tuna sashimi, Shake sahimi, Maguro sashimi, Maguro Salad, California maki, Tonkatsu and Gyu kushi.

Maguro salad |
Maguro salad - it was mixed with tuna and salmon sahimi, perfect side dish for us who wants to have an initial taste of their salmon and tuna sashimi.
|
Shake sashimi |
Shake sashimi - Salmon sashimi. It's creamy and you could tell that it's really fresh.
|
Maguro salad |
Maguro sashimi - Tuna sahismi. Same with shake, it's creamy and fresh. Definitely your cravings for shashimi would be satisfied by these two sashimis.
|
Spicy Tuna Sashimi |
Spicy Tuna Sashimi - made from spices, fresh tuna sashimi and tempura bites was a spot on combination that you would sure go loco. Spicy tuna sashimi was always my go to mean whenever I'm in a japanese restaurant and I must say Izakaya's spicy tuna was one of the best I've tasted here in Manila.
|
California Maki |
California Maki - classic favorite that you would love to eat. It's the maki what you expected and still would enjoy biting every pieces it has.
|
Pork Tonkatsu |
Tonkatsu - You could really tell that the pork that was used was fresh and it's not hard to chew (one of the tendencies or the other tonkatsu I encounter). Perfectly paired with its Japanese mayonaise (personal preference).
|
Gyu Kushi |
Gyu kushi - this was the highlight of our dinner. These perfectly grilled beef skewers would definitely melt in your mouth and you would want another bite. It was juicy and the flavorful taste was a runaway winner and I think this is what Izakaya sets apart from the other Japanese restaurant out there. Just be careful on eating too much.
