Lola Cafe: Filipino food haven for friends and family

It was my family's first time to eat out on Quezon city for a Saturday dinner (Our go to restaurants are only in Pasig and Makati area). I've been hearing a lot from this restaurant I suggested that we eat at Lola Cafe. Located at Scout Lozano, the ambiance is homey which is perfect for barkada who wants to chill and for family who are craving for a Filipino comfort food.

Adobo truffle fries - Great way to start our meal. The fries paired with shredded adobo flakes works well with the fries.

Bone marrow sisig (275php) - grilled bone marrow, sisig and kamias jam. Sinfully delicious, and we ordered another set of it because it was so good.

Tartufo (290php) - truffle oil, portobello mushroom, cream. Nothing special but I am sure that pasta white sauce lovers would enjoy this meal.

Gising gising - happy that they did not do anything special to it and taste like what gising gising should be.

Wagyu Kare-kare (395php) - braised beef shank & brisket, ox tripe, peanut sauce and homemade bagoong. Probably the best kare-kare I've ever tasted. Loved the rich, thick sauce on it and the wagyu was perfectly cooked (soft and tender) which you won't mind eating an additional rice on it.

Bacon Belly Batchoy (270php) - thick cut bacon, pork belly, tripe, garlic broth, egg and noodles. Was hesitant at first to try it because of the bacon on it, but it works! the flavored bacon complements well with the soup and noodles.

Crispy Maskara - Another favorite by the family, and was happy that it was juicy at the same time their sauce was good.

Banoffee pie - Graham crust with banana, custard cream. Banoffee pie will always be my favorite cake and I loved their version of it. It was not that sweet which is good because it compliments with the graham cracker and the banana on it.

Smores and Merengue with Raspberry sauce - Those two were also the perfect dessert to end our sumptous meal. Merengue will just melt in your mouths while the smores chocolate and marshmallows were a delight to eat

Overall, we all enjoyed eating at Lola and would definitely be back next time and would bring my friends since the ambiance was so good as well as the food.
