Le Petit Soufflé - French-Japanese comfort food

Le Petit Soufflé is a restaurant which offers French-Japanese comfort food which is a good place to eat for cheese lovers and people who don't care about the calorie intake. The place is pretty chic and bright and has an environment theme set up. We ordered Japanese Boeuf Curry Soufflé, Foie Gras Mac and Cheese, Squid-ink Rice, Matcha Parfait and Salted Egg Parfait.

Japanese Boeuf Curry Soufflé (495php) - Soufflé filled with US beef short plate and Japanese short grain rice with Japanese curry sauce. The waiter immediately told us that this meal would take 20 minutes for us to wait and our waiting was worth it. The curry was flavorful and the beef really goes well with the soufflé.

Foie Gras Mac and Cheese (695php) - Macaroni with cheddar, emmental with shimeji, crimini, Hungarian sausage, topped with Foie Gras. It was a surprise that the seared Foie Gras really goes well with the mac and cheese. The shimeji and crimini balances out the thickness of the cheese and they really do have a huge serving of Hungarian sausage which you'll enjoy.

Squid-ink Rice (395php) - Fresh seafood, soft scrambled egg on squid-ink rice and shimeji. If you are a fan of Paella Negra, you'll definitely enjoy this meal. The only difference with the Paella Negra is the soft scrambled egg which I don't mind since it complements with the Paella.

Matcha Parfait (250php) - Matcha custard base softee, matcha Kit-Kat, matcha and coffee jelly, adzuki beans, charcoal,  matcha Mocchi, chocolate sauce and Valrhona Equatorialle. Matcha lovers would certainly loved this dessert. It's not that sweet and the you could really taste the rich flavor of the matcha on this dessert.

Salted Egg Parfait (250php) - Vanilla based softee with salted egg custard, granola, peanut brittle, granola, Pepero almond and caramel drizzled on the softee. I actually enjoyed eating this one. The salted egg custard and caramel works well with the peanut brittle and granola which will give you a sweet and salty kind of vibe.

Overall, I enjoyed eating at this restaurant since I am a cheese and curry lover. I would definitely come back to try out the other Soufflé and their famous Yakult Guava.

Tip: they give up to 50% discount on their pastries before they close the restaurant. So if you are near and craving for a good pastries, you might want to check them out.
